Libens is a Latin adjective translating to “cheerful and happy”. This name was aptly chosen for Tenute Rubino’s first Charmat-method sparkling wine, a lively bottle that will make you smile with every sip.
Libens wine is an extra dry sparkling wine based on Vermentino, characterized by a pale yellow color with clear greenish reflections and brilliant. On the nose, there are fresh, sapid and intense notes, with hints of elderberry, broom, lychee, green apple, almond blossom and white pepper, enhanced by the foam.
On the palate, the wine is fresh, balanced and intense, with a good acidic note that integrates perfectly with its fine and persistent foam, resulting harmonious and coherent with respect to the olfactory characteristics.
Libens is an intriguing sparkling wine, with a strong and pulsating personality, with a sour finish that makes it particularly fresh and pleasant . As for food pairings, Libens is excellent as an aperitif and goes well with fried fish, mussels au gratin and light vegetable-based first courses. In particular, we recommend trying the combination with linguine with lobster and stuffed cuttlefish.
