Located on the right bank of Bordeaux, the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Château Palais Cardinal enjoys a privileged location in the Saint-Emilion appellation.
The Château Palais Cardinal estate includes a beautiful vineyard of 19 hectares, with vines aged 40 years on average and planted in gravel and sandy soils.
Tasting Notes
The Grand Vin of the estate, the Château Palais Cardinal 2018 is made from a blend of Merlot (75%), complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon (20%) and Cabernet Franc (5%). The vintage is aged for 15 months in new oak barrels. Produced under the guidance of the talented oenologist Thomas Duclos, the Château Palais Cardinal 2018 is a very fine vintage from this property, a wine that is powerful and fruit-forward, with a delicate woody quality and great finesse.
Grape: 75% Merlot 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc
Ageing: 15 months in new oak barrels.
