Tasting Notes

Brotte Châteauneuf du Pape “Domaine Barville” Rouge – “Richness and Unctuosity”.

This wine has a ruby colour with purple glints. On the nose, it has a rich symphony of red fruits (strawberry dominates), spices and truffles. Rich and unctuous, with long lasting aromas of red fruits and spices, the cuvée will seduce the amateurs of fruit in its youth, and those who will age the wine (up to 10 years) to savour its full potential and unique truffle notes.

2017 Vintage

A good year with low yields. With beautiful rich sugar and deep colours, the red wines are powerful, round and balanced. Whites and rosés are fat, full-bodied and have kept good freshness.

Grape variety: Grenache, Syrah & Mourvèdre.

Best served with: Enjoy with powerful dishes such as Daube Provençale with black olives, BBQ steak with béarnaise sauce, black truffle and foie gras parcels or melting chocolate puddings.

Serving temperature: Serve at 17 °C. Ideally, open 4 hours in advance.
