Tasting Notes
Brotte Côtes du Rhône “Esprit Barville” Rouge – “Fruity and Round”.
This is a Dark ruby wine with light edges. It has a medium intensity with aromas of small stone fruits and delicately spicy hints of pepper, thyme and garrigue (bush land). On the palate, it is smooth, warming and elegant. Its aromas recall wild red fruits, dark cherries, forest floor and liquorice. The tannins are soft yet precise.
2017 Vintage
A good year with low yields. With beautiful rich sugar and deep colours, the red wines are powerful, round and balanced. Whites and rosés are fat, full-bodied and have kept good freshness.
Grape variety: Majority of Grenache & Syrah.
Best served with: Enjoy with a wild mushroom omelette, beef filets, veal stew, or with a dessert of chocolate and cherry cake.
Serving temperature: Serve at 17 °C.
