Domaine de Bargylus is a wine estate on the slopes of the Coastal Mountain Range in Syria. These mountains, knows as Mount Bargylus in the Hellenistic and Roman periods, produced notable wines up until the rise of Islam. Domaine de Bargylus is managed by two brothers Karim and Sandro Saade, with the assistance of renowned consultant Stephane Derenoncour. It has been cited by wine critic Jancis Robinson as "arguably the finest wine of the Eastern Mediterranean". 

Tasting Notes 

A complex red wine with a dark red colour and purple reflections. A well-balanced Bouquet of black fruits, peony and pepper in the nose. Full-bodied, hamonious and structured on the palate with soft tannins and a long spicy finish. 

Grape: Syrah, Merlot & Cabernet Sauvignon

Ageing: Aged for 14 months in a blend of different cask ages.

Best served with: Lamb, Beef and Game.

Serving temperature: 15º - 18ºC.
